“An Ideal place for fugu beginners”
Ate fugu at this restaurant a couple of times. All fugus are cooked alive and served fresh. You can enjoy typical sashimi, fugu nabe (pot), fried fugu, and zosui (congee). You can order some fugu sperm if they are available. The overall quality is about the average, but the prices are reasonable.... I would say, it is an ideal place for fugu beginners.

“First time eating Fugu”
It was our first time eating Fugu and it was like the only restaurant in Shibuya who offers Fugu dishes. Their menu was all about Fugu: Raw in sashimi form, fried, grilled or hotpot. We tried the sashimi, fried and grilled. The sashimi is a must try. The fish itself was not the tastiest fish we ...ever had, but the tingling after effect in your arms were pretty interesting. The fried fugu was very tast and juicy. Careful as there is a lot of bones. The grilled fugu was just ok. It's nice that you get a own charcoal grill and you can grill it to your liking. The service was ok, with the help of the English menu we were able to order everything without a problem. We needed to have a reservation to get a table so we just made one for the following day. The price was surprisingly low for Fugu.

“Fresh but not for me”
I never tried fugu so a friend recommended this to us. I'm a sashimi fanatic and I love raw fish and sushi a lot. Lunch set needed to be ordered from 2 sets so you can't try something completely different from your buddy. I do understand that one fresh fish probably serve two. The texture of the ...sashimi is very different from most fish I've eaten. It is chewy and made me think of raw chicken. It's quite hard to imagine unless you try it yourself. It looks and tastes fresh. The hot pot part is average as we both agree fugu doesn't have much taste. The deep fried fillet were a delight tho. Worked well with this fish. It was not a cheap lunch by Japanese standard. Great if you are curious about this fugu culture and want to experience something different.

“Unique dining experience”
Very friendly staff even though their English wasnt that good. Very good environment and we have a private room. The blow fish was very fresh, we had the deep fried skin, sashimi and charcoal as well. When the sashimi comes, the hear of the fish was still pounding which told us that the fish was ...just been killed a minute again :) Price was also very reasonable. However, I think blow fish is not something that you will eat often like sushi or any other Japanese food though.
