ALOHA TABLE

Let me start by saying that I live in Japan. I love the Japanese and have generally only been treated and received wonderfully by any I meet. Until today. The saving staff ignored us. Took reservations from Japanese clients ( there was a waiting line) We waited patiently for 15 minutes until I saw... them take a family who arrived after us to a table. I asked why. They had a reservation. Apparently. But no. In fact they entered the restaurant and the staff put them on the list having NEVER come back to us waiting at the ´please wait to be seated’ sign. I looked around lunchtime on a Saturday on a popular Expat area. Not a single foreign looking diner. Says it all reallly If you are foreign a place to avoid.

Very modern and casual atmosphere. I felt a bit lack of Hawaiian taste, though. We had fried chicken and salad. I am not sure if it is really Hawaiian restaurant, it looks more Asian (Ethnic) Dining. I guess they added lots of Asian dished on purpose because only Loco Moco can't do good enough to ...keep people attracted. Although the dishes we had are good enough, the portion could be a tad small for the price. Nothing really stands out honestly. I had had the similar before. Very good point about this restaurant in Daikanyama branch is you can take your pet with you. This is really selling point, I assume.

Disappointed, self serve soup was sad, ginger turmeric. Tested just bland and didn't even have two spoonfuls. Food looked great but some what plane, not super yummy just ok. Definitely won't be back. Sorry Good atmosphere for a beer as they have a good selection but just leaving it there. Prob...ably no food.

Have been visiting this place now-n-then as I frequent the T-Site for various reasons. Always thought service is somehow less-Japanese, in comparison to the usual JP image everywhere else provides. I wonder if it the management's request or it is a copy-cat effect thing among the staffs ? Seating i...s not flexible even when it is clear that the restaurant will have plenty of tables free in a short while. If your group was large, highly recommend that you go to another place as the seating will NOT be accommodating at all, no matter how flexible you are n no matter how empty the other tables will become in time to come. Thanks goodness the food has improved over the years. Not bad when one has not specific meal preference. The HillSide Pantry (basement of a different building) nearby would offer better meals with casual limited seatings available.

Food was ok however the service was appalling. Half the entrees arrived, then half the mains with a large number if our party receiving their mains before their entrees. Two of the party didn't get their mains until after everyone else was finished - no service recovery at all ... Would not recommen...d.
