“By far our favorite restaurant in Tokyo "LIFE CHANGING PORK SHABUSHABU"”
Their pork shabushabu was excellent. The first time that my partner and i traveled to Tokyo together, we were looking on the internet to see what is good for dinner, we walked around Ginza around 2 hours just to find the restaurant that we want to go, unfortunately we could not find it...we ended up... asking a staff in a cake shop to see if we are in the right area...the staff then told us that the restaurant that we are looking for has been closed down, well no choice guess we just have to walk around for a bit more to find food... we then saw this building with a lot of restaurant and decided to go to the 7th floor to have local japanese food, once we walk into the restaurant we realized that it is not what we want so we step out and walk into Omoki thinking that shabushabu in Tokyo should be good ??? we ordered a pork shabushabu set for 2 pax and some drinks. Once the shabushabu came it looks quite plain tbh, the waitress then came and explain that they will add some jelly into the pot which is made of sake. we tried our first slice of pork thinking umm... its actually quite nice, we then start to eat... as we eat more and more the flavor of the soup case became so rich with the taste of pork and leek...we then were saying that it is actually very good and tasty...we had our very satisfying dinner at Omoki. Since then everytime we go to Tokyo we have to go back for at least one dinner and l would say that they have been keeping up with their standard, it tastes so good everytime we go back to dine. Beginning of this year we took our friends to have the shabushabu, at first they were like yea its ok but it is not as good as we described... the more they eat the more they understand why we call this "the life changing pork shabushabu" !!! I hope you guys will survive Covid 19 and once we get the chance to go to Tokyo we will definitely be back !!!!!!!! OH! forgot to mention, they do some good sake as well :)

“Great beef!”
Actually the one we went to ‘’おもき 離れ’’, very polite waitress with great service. Delicious beef in shabu shabu. Only one disadvantage is their ume soda is way too tasteless which is like drinking water.

“Taste of Japan”
Was taken out for dinner at Omoki byour host. It was a great introduction to Japanese food. The banquet option was fantastic as we got sample what Japanese food is suppose to taste like. Being in Ginza was a bonus as we got to see some of the sites and experience one of the entertainment district...s of Tokyo.

“Foreigners stay away”
Hands down the worst restaurant you will ever go to in Japan. Not in terms of food, which isn't amazing, but service and respect in general. Attached below is our receipt, which include 3 drinks and 3 shabu-shabu sets that clearly consist of A5 matsuzaka beef. One picture is without question, po...rk. This was served to us first, and after cooking some of it I was completely sure it was pork. At first I thought it was pork but didn't want to believe they would make such a mistake. After calling our server and asking him, he confirmed it was indeed pork and not beef. He agreed to get a plate of matsuzaka beef, and at this point I was confused but completely understanding. People make mistakes, but what happened next really angered me to no end. Right before he closed the sliding door to our table, he laughed at us mockingly. In other words, if we hadn't said anything we would have paid 8k yen each for a plate of pork. It wasn't one of those friendly laughs, but rather a condescending "these kids nearly got fooled" kind of laugh. Combined with the rude comments in the beginning (showing me where the beer was in drink menu and muttering "not like you can read it anyway"), I have never felt so belittled or bullied in Japan as a foreigner. For those curious, I can speak a little and read fine. Please, I beg of you, take your business elsewhere. Getting shafted for potentially 24k yen and served pork just because they think they can take advantage of you is unforgivable.
