“Love this place! Beautiful wholesome food without breaking your purse”
i ate here some years back and twice it was such beautiful experience, and so I returned there to meet a friend for dinner after almost 10 years. Predictably, dinner prices were higter than lunch but the quality I remember from years ago was still there! The restaurant interior still felt earthy and ...comforting, but the lady's room was outdated, with the faucet plumbing loose from the tiny sink for washing hands. With a little upgrade there this wonderful restaurant will be able to hold on to its excellent reputation. The cuisine type is what I describe to be enlightened seasonal cuisine, great emphasis on sustainable agriculture.

“Excellent food, good value!”
Finding a superior Japanese restaurant in Tokyo, without paying a fortune, is surprisingly tricky. It is easy to pay little - and get little, and to pay a lot - and not get very much. However Aen is a real gem, though a little bit off the main track of central Tokyo. Billing itself as a '4 seasons' ...restaurant, Aen presents seasonal menus in a pleasant modern Japanese surrounding. Where it stands out is the flavour. Dishes are served with salads, artfully arranged and with delicate and intriguing tastes. Main dishes, whether they are pork, fish, etc, come with little side nibbles, again tasty and unusual. I love food, and greatly appreciate the range and quality Tokyo has to offer, but I don't often eat Japanese food since I'm never sure of the quality. Aen is lovely, well worth a detour for delicious Japanese food.
