“A Step Back”
As the Ginza branch isn’t open for business, went to this new one in the basement of the Tekka building next door to Shanghai-La and Daimler Tokyo Station. Overall not as good as the Ginza location, or the Nihombashi or Shinjuku locations. The dumpling skins are much thicker than the others, and t...he soup inside isn’t as flavorful with the meat a bit coarse. Service as expected is excellent; but suggest the other locations for best dumpling taste.

“Good food, good jasmine tea”
This restaurant’s specialty is actually the xiao long pao. But instead of that, i tried their no-soup noodle, cha-han/fried rice, yurinchi (fried chicken salad), gyoza, and the small square thing (forgot the name). They’re all awesome, esp. the cha-han. They also serve hot jasmine tea in pot, which ...was really good. Crowded but thankfully we got good seats..

“Suprising location”
I was surprised to find the Din Tai Fung so close to the Tokyo Station and Shangri-La Hotel. I have been to this restaurant twice during my last stay and never had to wait...unlike most of the Din Tai Fung in Singapore or in the United States. They offer some of the dumplings that was more unique ...to Japan. The food was good, a little bit pricey, but not much more than Korea or Singapore. I must say I like the Din Tai Fung in Singapore more than the two (One in Yaesu and the other in Shiodome) Ding Tai Fung in Tokyo. I find the food just tasted better in Singapore
