DIN TAI FUNG Shibuyasukuramburusukuea

We've been to this restaurant chain in Hongkong and Taipei before. The dumplings were great as always. I just missed a few items on the menu that we used to have at the other branches.

Went there for lunch. Waited 15 min at the table, even though we took order while entering the restaurant (already waited 30 minutes outside, that’s when we decided what to eat.) Overpriced, food has no taste, servers don’t smile (even though I understand it was busy). Disappointed, prefers Tim Ho W...ang. Will never go again and certainly won’t recommend it to friends.

This is the first Din Tai Fung with no vegetarian options! All are with pork. In Taiwan, Hong Kong, Sydney and London they have fish and vegetarian options but not Tokyo, so I was very disappointed.

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch while visiting the Shibuya Scramble Square Tower because we'd wanted to go up the tower. Unfortunately it was booked up for the day. Margaret wanted to try some hot noodle soup so their menu was very tempting. I had the prawn fried rice meal which came wit...h 4 steamed dumplings which we shared. She had the prawn noodle soup. We were given a pot of tea which was very refreshing on a hot day. This chain of restaurants is very highly rated in Asia and having eaten here, I can understand why. Try it, you'll not be disappointed.

The servers Discriminate other countries people. BECAUSE TICKET NUMBER 3003 IS JAPANESE THE SERVER LET THEM 3 people higher priority then ticket 3001 and 3001 also 3 people. I am the 3001 ticket holder.
