“Skip if you need English translation. More food on the other side of train station”
The restaurant was hard to find, it’s on the main street along with several others but could not find the name. Seems to me it should state Tsukanda Nojo somewhere, which seems to be the name. There was an English menu with names but not descriptions. Service was spotty: we got welcome soup but no... towels, napkins or serve ware. Other patrons did receive. Food was subpar. We ordered the set, half was okay. The grilled chicken was too charred, fried chicken still kind of raw. And not sure what the 3rd item was. Potato salad, green salad & fries were good. Staff was pleasant but has little to no English knowledge.

“Simply good and relaxing”
Very good japanese restaurant with unique style. Always very busy. Sometimes only accessible with reservation (specially fridays). Very authentic food. Also (for Western Europeans) some strange food but overall very tasty. I spent 4 evenings in a row and tried a lot of fantastic dishes. Extremely fr...iendly and engaged staff. If you download their App the first drink is for free at the first visit. Always scan their QR code as at the second visit you get 1000 Yen discount. Next level is 5 visits. Unfortunately I had not the time for a 5th visit but sure next time I’m in Tokyo. Very good atmosphere with also some foreign guests as close to Shinagawa Station.

“Best dinner so far”
Near the Prince Hotel complex and Shinagawa Station, this place is highly recommended. It was warm, busy, and full of atmosphere - particularly as we sat at the bar and could watch the chefs at work. The English menu was offered when the waiter realised we needed it. Everything was very oichii! Do ...try the black satsuma chicken - house speciality - and don’t worry about how it’s cooked... it is a piece of heaven right in your mouth. The “fluffy and melty yams” included chunks of octopus and is also a must-try, as is the cabbage salad with yuzu, which is very refreshing. Sit, order a drink and a couple of dishes, share them and order something else. I would definitely return if we had time.

“Highly recommend this restaurant ”
Stayed in a hotel nearby and found this Very nice typical Japanese restaurant with staff that speaks English, also menu available in English. The grilled Chicken pieces are just phenomenal and also the dumplings are great. We tried the desserts to. All was perfect. Staff is very friendly, nice and... open. We also got some free starters. Price reasonable. We will for sure come again. Highly recommended!

“Be informed!”
I ordered the special dish here, the grilled chicken. Only I didn’t know that it was still raw inside (the standard way). I wish the waitress let me know. After I was almost done then I read the fine print that you could order this dish however you like. My beer was really cold in frosted glass, so ...no complaints there. The place was not too full. It was dinner time in the middle of the week. Price was reasonable. It’s just that my waitress was busy flirting with a customer next to me.
