“Very enjoyable”
We sat a U shaped table. Chef stood in the middle and continuously created tempura for all 12 diners one piece at a time. It was very very good and the ingredients were fresh. I enjoyed the experience but I wouldn’t say it was phenomenal. It’s a bit pricey in my opinion.

“The Best Tempura in the World”
It is always an honour to dine in the restaurant where Emperor Hirohito was dining, but this one really deserves all the stars! Tempura was so fresh it melts in your mouth. Vegetables were all organic, fish gorgeous. Chef changed the oil three times trough out our course, for wagyu beef he used comp...letely different oil and he went to next door beef frying. Tables and seats round around chef’s frying pot so it is quite entertaining as well. It is a fine dining so be prepared to pay at about 100 pounds per person. Hotate-scallops were my favourite, I don’t eat meat but my husband can’t forget the tastiest ever wagyu beef tempura. It is a traditional sitting, with the feet down, so not painful if you are not japanese. Really recommend!!! Absolutely outstanding!!!

“Best Tempura in Tokyo!”
What a great meal, outstanding Tempura, great service and lovely atmosphere, the high quality of the food is second to none, and the service is top notch, and you dont even smell anything being fried. If you like meat, make sure to ask for the wagu steak tempura, out of this world!

“Sixteen years later and it’s still the best tempura ever!”
There are only 13 seats, one tempura chef and three wait staff women and a couple of guys prepping in the back but this place is special. it’s on the 35th floor of an office building, only a couple of blocks from the Tokyo Train Station and the emperor’s palace. The chef mixes his tempura batter... as he goes along, he uses a combination of oils to deep fry and it’s all delicate, delicious and delightful. He changes his oil frequently and feeds the guests a prawn or a filet of some really interesting fish, a spear of asparagus, a seasonal green veggie and other nibbles bit by bit so one never feels rushed. It was my birthday so he tempura fried a slab of sweet potato and they presented that topped with vanilla ice cream. That was a wonderful taste combo. Their wee coffees to finish were exquisite. It takes about an hour and a half to work through the wonderful bits ending with a bowl of rice topped with tempura scallops and chopped prawns. Oh gee kill me now, I’m too happy!

“Good tempura experience”
It was a good experience for eating tempura. We sat in a horseshoe shaped counter where the chef made tempura in the center. Very nice but expensive.
