“Delicious Taiwanese food!”
Delicious Taiwanese food! Very clean restaurant and very good prices. We enjoyed our lunch - especially the Taiwanese Sausage and Cashew Chicken!

“Most authentic Taiwanese cuisine ”
We stumbled across this small but bustling restaurant during our short stay in tokyo's best suburb; Shimokitazawa. It's tucked away underneath a noisy rock venue with a bright neon sign that reads new Taipei in kanji/traditional Chinese characters. It was completely packed when we arrived about 8 ...but the owner was nice enough to find 2 seats by readjusting other guests so we didn't have to wait outside in the cold! We ordered some traditional Taiwanese dishes as soon as we settled and it didn't disappoint. We ordered about 7 small dishes and every dish was authentic and delicious. The service was attentive and genuine. it's always nice to come across authentic restaurants outside of Taiwan since leaving Taiwan as a youngster, and this place is no exception - it offered more than just the delicious food. It also showed the hospitality of Taiwanese people, an authentic bustling dinning experience and what's more - Taiwanese beer! It might sound silly but it was one of the best dinning experience we've had during our 9 days in Tokyo. Highly recommended.

“Lots of tasty dishes”
An extensive variety of reasonably priced tasty dishes in an attractive setting with great service. Located at Shimo-Kitazawa near Tipness. Make a reservation if you are coming after 6:00 p.m.

“Authentic tasting Chinese food. Little expensive for serving size.”
The menu we had was in Chinese/Japanese. Not sure if there was an English menu available, but you can pick dishes using the pictures if necessary. This place is normally very busy with a line out front. During the late afternoon we didn't have to wait though. The food was good and had an authent...ic Chinese taste. The dishes were all quite small though. Still a decent feed if you're craving Chinese, though a little expensive.
