“Not bad but not what we expected…”
Dinner on 29th April 2024: we spotted this place on TripAdvisor, following great reviews. We booked for our last dinner in Osaka. Lovely place located on 7F of a commercial building, full of shops and restaurants. The restaurant is not so easy to find as everything is written in Japanese. We were lu...cky to have a nice table by the window. The menu is relatively diverse and large, Izakaya-style. We opted for some classic dishes: fried chicken (well prepared and tasty), negitoro hand-roll (original presentation but certainly not the best we had in Japan), yakitoris (likewise not the best with chicken slightly overcooked), tempura (good). But we also wanted to venture into more exotic choices: shark cartilage and salted (raw) squid. Both were quite “brutal” in terms of taste and flavour. We are huge fans of Japenese gastronomy, and very open to new experience (with no allergy or food we don’t like at all or cannot eat). The shark texture was like “breaking small bones”, with an acid background. The salted squid was very gluey, with a sharp salty note. Both dishes clearly tested the limits of our openess to new experience!! The crab miso was however interesting, with a buttery texture on a cracker. Not a jaw-dropping dish but was worth a try. Service was courteous and smiling. The final bill ended up shy of 18,000 JPY, with a bottle of decent white wine (Chardonnay). Good value for the quantity we ate, the place/atmosphere. The food was however by far the least impressive we had since we landed in Japan a week ago. Maybe worth a try as we may have been unlucky or did not make the best choices.

“Dinner with friend”
Food is good and staff is friendly! We had fried tofu, sashimi, tempura and tried one of their sake (秋田の天寿). We spent a very nice evening and we recommend this restaurant ;)
