“Beautiful Japanese lunch ”
Value for money and a genuine traditional Japanese restaurant. We had to wait just a short while before we were shown to our table. The restaurant was over lit with glaring lighting. They should recheck the impact of the lights on seated guests. Food is superb and beautifully presented. Staff ar...e attentive and polite. You never have to wait for service. One great Japanese restaurant within the Keio Plaza Hotel.

“Authentic Japanese food”
We come here for breakfast Everyday instead of the buffet because of the authentic Japanese breakfast spread. In the evening we would come for shabu shabu as well, which is a clear vegetable broth with nice pork shabu slices. It’s home away from home.

“OK lunch...”
Needed a quick bite to eat and having had an exceptional meal at the upmarket sushi restaurant Kubeya in the Keio Hotel thought Kagari was worth a punt. Decent, generous bento box, fresh ingredients and OK value.

“Great Japanese breakfast!”
Not your traditional breakfast. This was a set item menu and we weren’t disappointed. Large array of traditional Japanese foods including miso soup, broiled salmon, various pickled vegetables. Great change of pace. Presentation was spectacular!

“Very expensive for what it is”
The prices are expensively designed to suit the advertised protein ingredients Kobe/ Black beef etc being provided & not the way it is cooked or presented. The advertised chef's supposedly special dishes were not what I consider 'chef' quality. The 10,000 plus Yen Sukiyaki had all been prepared in t...he kitchen not at the table and so the main meat iron griddle dish was tastelessly swimming in insipid water not a flavoursome sauce, the tempura had not been cooked at high enough temperature so was very oily. Silly mistakes that any 'chef' would know about & there can be no excuse for in an expensive restaurant. The staff were not helpful either due to 'language' either, stops you from complaining too. This is just a convenience money spinner restaurant for the Keio Plaza hotel in which it is located.
