Was a little skeptical when my hubby suggested visiting this restaurant as it didn’t quite fit the character of the restaurants we like - modern. The restaurant is located on the 2/F of a building, and, we took about 5 mins to locate after arriving at the street. It is located in the dark colored bu...ilding diagonally opposite to Itamae Sushi. The restaurant decor is rather dated; with dark wood and narrow tables. But, apparently it was fully booked around 7pm. We arrived at 5:30pm without a reservation, and the staff asked if we could return the table by 6:30pm. No problem! We ordered the meat recommended by the staff. It was all very, very delicious! About ¥8,000-10,000 per person. We did notice it’s a little more expensive from some of the nearby Yakiniku places.

Misuji is located in a lively part of the Akasaka district very near to the Capitol Hotel Tokyu where my friend and I are staying. We initially ordered various parts of Wagyu beef (sirloin, shoulder, tongue and tenderloin) together with other dishes including vegetables and noodles to share. The b...eef was of high quality, well-marinated and basically melted in my mouth. It was so good that we ordered another around of some parts. Other than the beef, I also loved the cold thin wheat noodles (also known as Soumen as indicated in the menu). It's very refreshing and made me less guilty in eating so much beef. We finished our dinner with very creamy sesame ice-cream topped with red bean paste. Though the staff members could only speak very limited English, they're all very friendly and explained to us how certain dishes should be eaten. The atmosphere was very causal and lively. On the night we went, we're the only non-locals there. Highly recommended.
