“Excellent Dinner”
Chef Kodama and his wife are very sweet, kind and respectful people. Even though we didn't speak each other's language, we still had fun using google translate! The courses worked perfectly with each other. You can tell truly tell there is a lot of time taken to prepare the meal, as each course is e...legantly displayed and taste magical with every bite. Thank you for having us and we will definitely be back in the future.

“One of the best meals I have ever had!!!”
The chef Tsutomu Kodama and his wife Maki are very sweet and caring. Maki does the serving and Tsutomu prepares the dishes. This is what great meals are supposed to be!!!! Five Star does not begin to describe how great the meal is. Began with mountain vegetable bowl. Very interesting flavors. Inter...esting in a good way. Earthy flavors, soft but full taste. The next course was baby squid which was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Very fresh ingredients, which makes a huge difference. Their flavors speak for them selves. The sea bream was served with black rice, wasabi and sea weed. Beautifully balanced and perfect flavors together. You can tell how fresh the ingredients are. What a pleasure.! The wasabi was freshly ground just before serving from live wasabi plant. The seaweed was crinkled and light flavors. Next Fugu(Blow )fish in a soup. I must say I have never had Fugu (Blow) fish before. It is scrumptious. Now I want it every day. Next is Abalone with soba noodles. Perfect balance of tastes. Followed by extra dish of eel. Home made rice bread to sop up the sauces left in the Abalone dish. Great touch. Tsutomu has a great touch with the balance of flavors that he unites. A magical touch. Beef medium rare for me and more well done for my wife. With soy beans and beans and okra and eggplant. I cannot get over how wonderfully fresh the vegetables are. That really allows the true flavor shine through. Also fresh peas. He has selected the greatest quality in everything that he serves. Thus allowing the food to make ALL the statements about the flavors. This IS a HIDDEN gem of HIDDEN gems Next sea bream with rice and scallions. Side of vegetables, marinated cucumber and radish and Chinese cabbage. A great simple dessert, tomato mousse. In a tapioca coconut sauce. Brilliant.

“Excellent food, average for a Michelin one star”
The 7 pm reservation made by our Japanese daughter-in-law was lost and the cheff/owner ended up apologizing after a long phone call and told us to come back an hour later. There were three other people at the counter made for ten. Virtually no English here. No apology, no free drink. The food was... very good and we could see it being assembled in front of us. The first wonderful dish was built arround a small scoup of cooked eggplant ice cream. The tastes of the 8 dishes were harmonized, earthy and complex but no highlights. The rice dish at the end was too ordinary for a restaurant in this price class. Overall, highly skilled cheff but there was no interaction with us, nor with the three Japanese client at the other end of the counter.
