Food 4 Service 5 Atmosphere 5 Overall 5 Love the countertop style that's common in small Japanese restaurants. Every dish was meticulously prepared with the Japanese seasonal vegetables and meat. Their signature dish - the roasted sesame tofu - is unforgettable!!

Going to this restaurant was a perfect way to ‘celebrate’ the end of our holiday. Several courses of perfectly prepared food, my favourite dish was the crab leg and crab salad with fresh wasabi. The ‘New Year’ sake to start was delicious and set up what to expect for the rest of the meal. Their Engl...ish wasn’t great (still better than my Japanese though), so they had cards with English translations to explain what we were eating. They were also very helpful with letting us know how to eat each dish and whether or not to use condiments. A very enjoyable experience with a surprise of being able to keep the special printed linen napkin at the end of the meal, was a very nice touch.

We sat at the counter and watched as our meal was prepared. The food was wonderful, and so were the staff. The menu is set seasonally, and the ingredients were explained to us as each course was set before us.

This little gem of a restaurant will mesmerize you with the incredible care for details, the harmonious and perfect blend of tastes and textures, the incredible hospitality. I have spent more than one year in Japan and rarely I had the chance to eat some of the products I had here. The core of Jap...anese cuisine - dashi - is here elevated to perfection. A truly incredible experience if you want to learn what real Japanese cuisine is.

Not fancy but delicious. The restaurant is in the basement with only a small sign in Japanese so it is hard to find. The set menu are very good
