Expectations will always be high with 2 Michelin stars and Hommage did not disappoint. The staff were all wonderful, so friendly and we really appreciated them taking the time to explain all the dishes in English. The somelier was great at explaining the origins of each wine too. I must say a speci...al thank you to the chef for accommodating my allergy at short notice. I'd mentioned my mild shellfish allergy on the booking but where I am from, that would also cover shrimps and crustaceans. It seem that does not translate and so I had to explain when I saw langoustine on the menu. They were so kind and accommodating, quickly swapping that course out for a fish one instead. Everything from the amuse bouche through to the desserts was excellent. Impeccable presentation and some very unique flavours. Some were not quite to our tastes... Not that they were bad in any way at all. Just different and very interesting. We still enjoyed every course. Most courses were delicious. I thought the beef was a little bit tougher than I would expect for this quality of restaurant but not worthy of me marking my review down given everything else was excellent. We also liked that it's a small place with a cosy atmosphere and not clinical like you can sometimes find in similar restaurants. We definitely felt full when we left, which often doesn't happen with tasting menus! This was probably due to the wonderful desserts and petit fours. Overall an excellent meal and we would definitely visit again to try more interesting and unique flavours.

Hommage is a very special, small French restaurant. The setting was quiet and peaceful, the service was outstanding and the food was an adventure. There were many courses not on the menu - various amuse bouche and palate cleansers, and multiple desserts. While the restaurant is described as a Ja...panese meal based on French techniques, I would call it a French meal served with Japanese sensibility and technique.

Excellent staff and food! You get several courses before the main course, and each course is explained in detail. They made great accommodations for my food allergy, which I notified them of in advance. I would highly recommend

Chef Arai is one of the most talented chefs in Asia, very creative culinary skills which provides an excellent dining experience. Must visit.
