“Good Quality At The Right Price-Japanese Food”
En was located underground the Wing complex opposite the Shinagawa Station (Takanawa side) and was fairly typical of Japanse restauarants around railway stations, providing good quality Japanese food at a very reasonable price. The range was extensivce and the quality good as you might expect in Jap...an.The sashimi set was very good and frankly the volume too much and only Yen 2,000

“A nasty taste left in the mouth-Rudest waiter I have ever met! ”
Having read previous positive Tripadvisor reviews I arrived at the restaurant with my husband, before 7.30pm on our 2nd night in Tokyo and saw that there were 4 people waiting outside for tables, despite many empty tables in the restaurant. (Fair enough if they had lots of bookings on a Monday night...??)A kind old Japanese man in the queue, encouragingly told us to put our name down for a table. When I walked into the restaurant there was nobody at the reception desk, so I stayed there until a young man who was allocating tables approached me. No smile of welcome. I asked politely if there was a table for 2 available and how long it might be. He literally looked me up and down ( I was dressed in a smart/casual outfit) and he then rudely said “no tables” I said we were happy to wait, but he said” no, no tables” and when I asked if there were any free later he said no, and rudely ushered me out of the restaurant. I was actually pretty upset, as I have never had anyone in a restaurant anywhere in the world, be so rude. No apology, just rudeness. The old man waiting just outside, smiled broadly as I came out, clearly expecting us to sit and wait, but heard me tell my husband that I had been told they were fully booked. The old man was clearly shocked and he and his friends spoke quietly together and shook their heads, shooting dark looks towards the arrogant young man in the restaurant and clearly not believing this and smiled at us sympathetically. Our impression was that the young man does not like tourists- rather a shame, as we are in Tokyo for several days and had been planning to bring a friend along a few days later, if we had enjoyed our meal there. As it is, we had a lovely meal at another local restaurant with delightful staff, and will be returning there in a few days!

“Lovely food and sake ”
Enjoyed an evening with nice seafood and sake. There is a seat price of 500 yen. But worth it. Reservation needed after 6pm.

“Oishi Sashimi ”
Quite a spacious Japanese diner, plenty of tables and a large L shaped counter top dining. Very busy night at quarter to 8pm, didn't have to wait too pong to be seated. We sat by the counter and able to watch the chef prepare the food. I had the best tuna and yellowfin sashimi IMO. Very freshly tast...e like it's just fished from the ocean. Enjoy the good Yamasaki single malt too.
