The worse experience I have ever had in Japan. The food was disgusting and salty. shanghai Japanese food could be better than this, also the waitress was so impolite, pretend not to reply us even I ask for bill a hundred times. It seems fast food or instant food not fresh at all.

I am actually not sure that the tuna was actually tuna... the staff was nice and gave us directions but the food was not good.

I came to this place for dinner because it's right across from the hotel that I was staying in Roppongi, and what a mistake... I ordered seafood fry noodles and it was so salty that was barely edible. Then I ordered sashimi and it wasn't very appetizing either. But here's the part that led to the ...title of this review. When I got the bill, there was an extra item, and when I asked about it, the waiter shown me a piece of paper that said it was for the appetizer. What appetizer? Then I remember he placed a small dish in front of me with one tiny clam and a tiny bit of boiled chicken...and for that I was charged the equivalent of US$4.50!! I was feeling somewhat being cheated on.

Just visited this restaurant with my husband. We are both Scottish & very adventurous when visiting foreign countries, hence, venturing into this local restaurant near to our hotel for dinner. The reason we chose it was because it was rammed full of people, who appeared to be a real mix of local re...sidents and foreigners, and we wanted to experience the ‘real’ Japanese cuisine. First off, one of our main courses (sweet & sour prawn) we were told had ran out - fair enough, I decided to order ginger tuna served on griddle instead. My husband’s beef in ginger sauce arrived and whilst the sauce was extremely tasty, the beef was extremely thin and even moreso, it was the fattiest beef we have ever seen. My so-called ‘tuna’ arrived, which was white & definitely not tuna. I asked the waitress to confirm as to whether the fish I’d been given was tuna, to which she replied ‘yes, tuna’ - absolute lies! I scraped off the fatty flesh and ate the very unusual tasting white meat (I have to say, albeit, whilst soaking up the remains of my husband’s beef sauce!). Lastly, we asked for the bill, after demolishing two fraught beers each, which came out of a very suspicious looking silver machine! When the bill arrived, lo and behold, they’d added an extra item on (all written in Japanese of course) which amounted to almost £20 not to mention tax added onto each course too! I questioned this with the (who appeared to be) manager and he straight away said, ‘oh yes, we need to take that off!’. My husband paid the bill and we left, still very politely saying thank you to the staff upon exit. Now back at my hotel and with WiFi access, the ‘white tuna’ they appeared to have served me was indeed Escobar - a very fatty, deep sea white fish!!! It still remains as to whether I have a strong enough stomach to keep this down, but time will tell! Overall, unless you can read and speak Japanese, do not eat in this restaurant!!!
