Gochisouya Gochisoya

Opening dish. Presentation like an egg and I had one as a whole which was a grave mistake. It needs to be mixed and the flavors just come alive. Pork in miso. The pig was only fed potatoes, and the preparation in miso was simply outstanding. Must have dish. Bacon. Also good, just not as good as ...the previous. Goes great with the wasabi though given its fat content. Fish fins. Strange dish. But possible to eat and apparently healthy. Fried fish. Again strange coz the fish come fried as a whole with each of them with mouth wide open. I had to carefully remove the skin and bones to eat, and not sure if the effort was worth it. Sweet onion. Was a seasonal dish. Quite tasty with the rock salt. Tofu with coriander. Tofu so fresh. Benito salad. Delicious delicious. Best way to have until Benito fish flakes. Maki roll with tempura shrimp. Avoidable. Shrimp way too deep fried and the seaweed roll just too sticky to eat. Benito topped noodles. Great main course after all the starters. Sake. So many types and each one better than the other. Beer is also fresh and delicious. Service is outstanding. They may have never seen a toddler here before, but kind enough to accommodate us, including the stroller in spite of barely any space inside.
