“Yummy tempura in Tokyo”
Im not a big fan of tempura, but this restaurant amazed me, prawn and scallop is my favourite. They also have a huge wine list that you can choose from, sake is always good but i will recommend you to try some white wine here too.

“DON'T GO! Plenty of other excellent tempura restaurants in Tokyo!!”
We had previously been big fans of this restaurant and we used to go almost every time we visited Tokyo. So I was rather looking forward to our last visit - dinner for our last evening in the city. Those of you who've eaten here probably know that there is a 5-day cancellation policy on the reservat...ion. Unfortunately, a strong typhoon that was meant to hit Taiwan swerved unexpectedly to Japan and by that afternoon, we had received information that most restaurants, shops, malls, spas, etc will be closed starting from 5pm that day. Once we heard the news, we called the restaurant at least 5-6 times starting from 5pm (when they supposedly open), as well as reached out to our Amex concierge to determine if they would still operate that evening. None of our phone calls were answered. Knowing that the subway and all public transportation were suspended that evening and not being able to confirm if the restaurant was open, we decided to eat at a neighborhood restaurant nearby that was still open. A few days after we got home, we were notified by Amex that we were a "no-show" for dinner that evening and were charged for the full amount of the dinner. This was absolutely ridiculous, as we would have gone if we had KNOWN the restaurant was open. Given that we are foreigners and were not able to fully comprehend any of the public information available about the storm, it was unbelievable that they expected us to take the risk of showing up at the restaurant when they DID NOT answer our calls in the first place. DON'T let this happen to you - we'd highly recommend visiting another outstanding tempura restaurant in this city who is more respectful of your rights as a consumer.

“We Hate The Chef, So Rude”
This tempura restaurant used to be our most favorite in Tokyo until the last time we visited, when the chef was unspeakably rude to us. We don’t know why he was so rude as we were regular clients, but we hate the chef.

“High Quality, super hospitable and western friendly. Highly recommended ”
I was super impressed by this One Star Tempura Restaurant. Contrary to most Top Japanese chefs; Chef Shimizu is super nice , accommodating and welcoming. His technique and the quality of the produce are spot on. The service is super attentive, nice wine list and English menu.

“One of the best tempura in town”
Outstanding tempura in Tokyo. Tempura technique is the batter, how to keep it thin & light while food is hot & cooked. Seiju did a very good job on it. They have a decent wine list as well. Make sure you booked in advance, week day is always busy as it is in Ginza area, a lot of business lunch/dinne...r. If you are tourist and can't read Japanese, it's alright as the have English on menu. The menu is always おすすめ seasonal dish.
