CASCINA CANAMILLA

Excellent Italian with high quality ingredients sourced from all over Japan in a spacious room in front of the Meguro river lined with the cherry trees. Service was excellent, explained in good English.

Food was beautifully balanced, presentation impressive, service exceptional. This was my second visit, both times I had the 6 course degustation menu (there is an 8 course option). The charcoal Saury fish was the best I've tasted. The deer was presented in a smoke filled red pottery sphere - looked... great, tasted even better. Every mouthful of he dessert (chocolate, pineapple, aubergine and a hint of chill) confirmed this is a restaurant which should be widely acclaimed. Ristorante Cascina Canamilla, on F2, overlooks the Meguro River and has an outstanding view of the cherry blossom trees. An absolute JEWEL of a restaurant, Highly recommend.

This restaurant is outstanding in all aspects. Two fixed menus are available. Value for money was excellent. All dishes were excellent as was the service and ambience. The wine list featured a diverse range of Japanese wines. It was refreshing to go to a Japanese restaurant and not only have option ...of mainly French wines. I highly recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, I think the two word Italian name does not reflect the nature of the restaurant. Go there and enjoy!

We really enjoyed our dinner here. A lot of thought went into each course and the execution was perfect. Service was impeccable. Ambience was warm and cosy. This is a great place for lunch/dinner after a stroll along the Nakameguro canal.
