“Amazing Experience All Around”

This restaurant exceeded all of my expectations and then some. It was an unforgettable dining experience. Chef Satoshi was amazing, and his lighthearted humor, knowledge, skill, and humble passion shone as bright as the delicious dishes. With every plate he masterfully served, we were also given ins...ight into what we were eating and where it came from. His drink recommendations were spot on, and there wasn’t anything about this experience that was not 5 stars. We had so many dishes that I can’t remember them all, but each was fantastic, and we finished the meal with decadent ice cream and tea. When it came time to leave, he walked us out, which sealed the experience as being one I’ll never forget.

“Amazing, worth the visit and return”

Had a wonderful sushi omakase meal here on recommendation by our hotel concierge. My wife and I were seated at the main counter with the chef-owner Kenji Ishizaka, who prepared for us a delicious journey through the fish of Japan. Kenji starts work by 6am, heading to the fish market to buy the in...gredients for the day. Afterwards, he goes home to nap before starting prep at 2pm. First seating is at 6pm, and he works until 1am, before starting the cycle over again. What a crazy schedule! The food itself was incredible - we really enjoyed the experience, especially as there wasn't as much nigiri pieces, but more cooked food and sashimi so we didn't feel as stuffed afterwards as a normal omakase meal (but still full). Great experience, worth returning to.

this was our first true sushi experience in japan after having eaten at places like sushi shikon in hong kong, araki in london and maza in nyc. our high expetations were fully met and compared to other high end sushi restaurants this was very reasonable for the quality served.

“The most incredible sushi/Omakase experience”

Out of several very high end restaurants in Tokyo and Kyoto, this was hands down the best. Decor is minimalist and intimate, attention to detail is second to none, food is fresh and oh-so-interesting, and you are treated with respect as a tourist by full explanation of courses in English and our in...credible chef even used a book to show us which sea creature was being served to us. Other reviews below go into more detail about courses so I won’t repeat them but suffice to say, I would go back again for the same price in a heart beat. Do yourself a favour and go. Incredible. Thanks for looking after us.

I very rarely write reviews but for many planning a trip to Tokyo can be very overwhelming especially when it comes to food! If your a foodie like me or just someone ready to explore what this city has to offer it literally has it all. I wanted to experience some Michelin star restaurants and after ...months of research and reading countless reviews I ended up booking 4 amazing Michelin restaurants which leads me to the STAR of them all, the one that literally blew us away....NISHIAZABU TAKU! From start to finish Kenji Ishizaka was truly amazing in every way. It’s very difficult to put into words how he made us feel with he’s wonderful aura and ofcourse outstanding omakase course! We wanted to respect his art form so didn’t really want to take too many photos as again it’s difficult to really grasp the atmosphere of this beautiful little hidden gem in NishiAzabu. This place deserves 3 STARS!!! I wouldn’t hesitate twice going back even tho there are thousands of other places to eat. Ps the Sake is alright too ( wink wink ) 😉 Kenji hopefully see you soon #nosauce
