Mayonaka-no Taiyoh

We came late in the evening on a Saturday and maybe the staff wanted to go home but I ordered a glass of red wine where the bottle had clearly been opened days prior (plus this was probably the smallest wine glass I have ever seen). I kindly asked the waiter when the bottle had been opened and point...ed out that the wine had almost no taste (my Japanese is limited so maybe I came across as rude, I don’t know). He responded by saying that the house wine was not very flavorful, and then walked away. As much as I’m aware that is usually true, there could’ve been a few different ways of pleasing me instead of ignoring my dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the table charge in the form of nachos cost 500¥ per person and had absolutely no flavor. The prosciutto looking ham had either been precut long time before, or was bought as a packaged ham at the supermarket and then sold with a big profit margin instead of selling good quality ham. The rest of the staff seemed friendly enough but it doesn’t weigh up the negative experience we had. The one good thing was the jalapeño sangria which was fantastic.
