“Poor service, poor food and high prices”
I ordered the baked duck and received 3 rice crackers on a plate with 3 pieces of duck skin on top of each rice cracker and that was Y3,200 or around $35AUD. I am not exaggerating this description. I also ordered the bamboo shoots and mushrooms side dish and received a bowl of sauce mainly with 6 ...mushrooms and about 10 shoots floating in a sea of sauce. When I tried to explain that the duck was not a meal and it was not how it was described in the menu and, after about 5 minutes of trying to get around the language barrier, I said I was not paying for it (which he understood immediately) I ordered the peking duck meal which should include meat. I had received and eaten my vegetable meal so for the next 30 minutes the waiter kept looking over the cubicle barrier at me as if it was a joke and suggesting I buy more drinks. I then received a dried meal of duck leg with 3 other pieces of thigh meat, with 3 large rice puffy cloud looking things which had the texture of a dish sponge on biting, on the plate and plain steamed rice. I wondered why this had taken 30 minutes to prepare but realised it had been left under the warmer for a substantial period of time and was to an extent, a retaliation for my initial complaint. I had to pour the sauce from my vegetable dish over this meal to make it less dry and edible. They charged me Y3200 for this dish. I should have listened to my sensible inner voice and leave after the complaint, knowing what chefs can be like. I didn't because it was pouring outside and I didn't fancy KFC in the station plaza. It would have been a better meal with better service. DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.
