Found this place during our annual stay in Zushi. Wonderful experience. The owner spent a few years in the restaurant business in Vancouver, Canada. He then returned to Japan (Tokyo), and eventually opened his own restaurant, choosing Zushi. His philosophy is to focus on local ingredients without pr...eservatives. AMBIANCE: 5.0. On the third floor. Rustic, warm, inviting interior, lined with patron-owned bottles of sake. Note that the menu is in Japanese only. Pleasant and relaxing Japanese pop music playing in background. SERVICE: 5.0. Everyone on staff, including the owner, was friendly and very attentive. Their teamwork was exemplary. FOOD: 5.0. Oden. We each first chose 3, then had another 3, and then another 2 for total of 8. It was all excellent, especially with Ebisu beer on tap. Some of what we had: Daikon (very tender after cooking, from Miura peninsula), housemade iwashi (sardine) no sumire (fishball). The oden came with mustard, sometimes also with wasabi, and sometimes also with a house special condiment made of jalapeno, kabosu (lime-like citrus), .....
