Q.E.D.CLUB

This restaurant/wedding hall is the former residence of the Hungarian Ambassador. The chef cooked the vegetables, fish, meat and soup to perfection on the teppanyaki grill for 8 of us. And behind him was a large window with a view of the beautiful garden. My good friend was the host, so I'm not s...ure how much the price per person was--but it was not inexpensive. The QED Club is open to non-members. For a splurge, I highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate lunch there today for my wife's birthday, very excellent food and full commendation to the excellent chef and his food, however we were very troubled by waitress who served us. When we requested to try each of the desserts from the selection she responded by saying the time limit is 10 minute...s until closing - we persevered and yet each time she reluctantly served us we were met with resistance from this particular waitress with "are you sure you need to try the jelly?" and "are you really sure you want the chocolate mousse?", etc.. this made us feel very awkward and almost ashamed - very uncomfortable and very poor service - not of the standard that I'm sure the chef expects (without doubt I would be sure Gordon Ramsay would fire her on the spot!).. we wanted to complain directly to the chef but thought it would make our day's experience even worse.. by comparison we went to the Joel Robuchon in Ebisu and tried everything off the dessert selection and were very warmly welcomed to do so, and irrespective of the time pressure.. in a similar way to a team event in a sport which is only as good as its weakest man the same could be said for a restaurant of calibre (and the chef here is certainly of this high calibre).. unfortunately the overall experience was severely let down by the attitude of this waitress.. I hope the chef gets to hear about this particular member of staff who is ultimately facing the customer and serving his fantastic food. Indeed, if the staff were acting in a professional manner expected of such a restaurant then I would've awarded at least 4 or 5 stars, and certainly 5 stars for the fantastic food.

We went there with company colleagues. The location is a kind of hidden place so you should take a tax. There are two stories, upper floor is a large room for banquet and lower floor for normal tables. The foods were french with some Japanese taste and very nice. The only issue was quality of wines......the red wine served was 800JPY!! The garden was beautiful and we enjoyed fireflies flying in the pond there. Please enjoy the atmosphere for family activitie, couples and party opportunities.
