“Overcooked (when required). Underwhelming freshness and flavour. ”
The room we were seated in was private, but could smell the cigarette smoke from other rooms. The presentation of the food was very nice. The service was polite and explained as best they could in English what we were being served, even though I am well aware what wasabi is. The food itself was unde...rwhelming. The beef and tempura were extremely overcooked. The fish in the miso soup had so many bones in it I had to remove the fish from the soup to de-bone it. The salmon sashimi was dry. The squid was not fresh. The bottom of the dessert tart was burned and was not the same as pictured as seen on the menu (served a quarter instead of a half) and the Special K the icecream was sitting on was stale. Not sure if we were served lesser then expected food because we are foreigners or this is what everyone is served. The service was very polite, but for the price the food was disappointing. I have dined throughout Japan over several visits over the years and this the the worst (only above a McDonalds I ate at once that attempted to serve me raw chicken) I have experienced.
