“Outstanding concept with perfect execution!”
We absolutely loved our experience at Kura Sushi in Asakusa. We went with our three children while on holiday in Tokyo. It's the perfect place if you have young children. The concept of tablet ordering and then having the conveyor belt delivery is a novelty that the kids never got tired of. There's ...also a game you get to play when you return your plates in the chute - who would have thought about gamifying plate returns!? There was a lot of choice on the menu and the prices were amazing. You get a LOT of food for not a lot of yen. The food arrives very quickly once you order so you won't sit around with hungry kids getting antsy. The sushi was very fresh and there were quite a few non-seafood options for those who don't want it. The service was also very good, the staff played some games with our kids as we were leaving and gave them some cute prizes. The most important thing is to be sure and make a reservation first! We turned up hoping to walk in and weren't able to get a spot without a very long wait time. You can easily make or modify a booking online. Highly recommended!

“Amazing Kura”
Kura is an amazing franchise conveyor belt restaurant and has many locations. i went to the one in Asakusa which is in walk distance from the Senso Ji temple. It was quite busy but it was worth it the wait because they have a delicious menu at affordable prices. The food quality is excellent!. They ...have a huge sushi selection, rolls and side dishes. I had a very nice melon soda drink, and also matcha tea. There is a gachapon game on each table for when you finish eating so will have fun!.

“Don’t go to Kura Sushi”
I really think you should choose another place to eat sushi in Tokyo. Poor quality, not tasty, lack of options of beverages, some of the reasons. The only thing that you can enjoy is the food coming in conveyor belt, and what a deception when the food arrives! Avoid Kura Sushi!

“Amazing Sushi Conveyor Restaurant!”
It was our first experience at a conveyor sushi restaurant, and we really loved it including the kids. The menu selection was extensive, and the sushi was very fresh! Service was quick and efficient. And the price was incredibly affordable! What a fun experience!

“For me, Kura Sushi is #3 sushi chain in Tokyo”
Obviously, we all have our preferences as taste is subjective. For me, in Tokyo, #1 is Sushiro, #2 is Uobei Sushi, and #3 is Kura Sushi. We found the Kura slices of salmon meager to stingy, scallops small and tasteless, and beef sometimes very good and sometimes way too fatty. Like Sushiro, Kura has... a fully automated system. Spot the computer screens, choose English, put in the number of your party, get your number, then seating instructions will follow. We learned to use the self-checkout counters and we always paid in cash. At Kura, you put away your empty plates by shoving them one-by-one into the "plate shoot", unlike the normal way of leaving a tower of sushi plates behind. We also liked the table design that "hid" the utensils in 2 inset cubicles within the table. Unlimited pickled radish, green tea, regular soy sauce and sweet sushi sauce are provided. The Kura Flagship Store by Oshiage Skytree has the white billowing curtain partitions that add ambiance; didn't have it here. Same good sushi and price.
