Our friend from Penang who married to a Japanese and operated a travel agency in Japan and help us in the design of our 10-day tour in Central Japan came and meet us at our hotel in Tokyo. She brought us to this restaurant near her house to let us try some authentic Japanese cuisine. For Tokyo hig...h standard of living, the prices of the meal sets here are considered reasonable and we can have free flow of soft drinks, coffee and matcha green tea. We would not be able to get such good prices in Singapore. The Japanese chefs takes pride in the meticulous preparation of the cuisine and we waited for more than half an hour for the dishes be served on our table. Hot and savoury with wasabi, seaweed and tofu condiments enhanced with roasted tea flavour, it was my first time having tasted such appetising simmered chicken rice which costs only 990 yen. The quantity is stomach filling and the flavour superb. My brother in law who is picky with food also put up a thumb up for the unique and exquisite cuisine. Before strolling around our hotel vicinity, we took a group photo outside the restaurant. Japanese culinary art is meticulously exemplary unique and the way the Japanese preserved their cultural heritage including their passion in their culinary arts deserved our salute and emulate.
