“Earnestly delivered Italian”
I'll admit eating Italian in Tokyo wasn't my first choice. We actually failed to get seated at a nearby udon restaurant and with kids starving I had to find something close. We were a bit worried when we saw the place was empty of customers--though it was a weekday and a bit late. With viable opport...unities fading fast we decided to go for it. Fortunately we were pleasantly surprised. The menu featured various pastas and though more interesting seafood options were available the kids opted for their standby bolognese and I did too. My wife ordered a fish we hadn't heard of but was white. The waiter's English wasn't great but he really tried his best, very polite, friendly and helpful. I was impressed to find the pasta itself and sauce were executed handily. The pasta was just perfectly al dente and the sauce though not really surprising in any way was flavored very nicely, fresh tomato and spices were all nicely balanced. My wife also thought here fish was very tasty. I also had a glass of one of the house reds which was again not fantastic but eminently quaffable--just as you'd hope for with a house wine.
