In Japan, we usually go for wagyu beef, but since it was my birthday and I love seafood, I treated myself to crabs at Ginza Kitafuku. It's a must-visit for crab lovers! Yes, it’s pricey, but the crabs are super fresh and meaty, and the chef shells them effortlessly. It’s definitely a memorable exper...ience worth the splurge. Can’t wait to come back for crab roe season!

“Good for private sitting.”
The crab was very good and the service was excellent but the uni we had this time was not that sweet. We were at another branch and sat at the counter which was a much greater experience but understandable.

“Wonderful Matsuba crab dinner”
We enjoyed our private dinner here in Feb 2020. A chef prepared the crabs many different ways. The crab was the tastiest I have ever had. I would love to return.

“Crab Lover Restaurant in Ginza”
This place is on the third floor of 745 Ginza Building with private rooms. We ordered the Winter Crab Set Menu. The crabs were still alive and we were sorry to see them be prepared for us. The crabs were deliciously fresh and expertly prepared - raw, boiled or grilled they were all tasted great.

“Crab Coma, a must for crab lovers”
So much crab! We ordered the King Crab and Ozaki Beef Combo. Basically it was 2 meals served in one. Just the ozaki beef steak and sukiyaki was enough for one meal, but now add a whole king crab between 2 people and there is just a lot of food. So come hungry. All the work is done for you, you ju...st sit back and enjoy, you eat every part of the crab in multiple methods of cooking, such as grilled, sashimi, boiled, etc. The meat was very sweet and tasty, and you really are able to taste the subtle differences between the different parts of the crabs body. Note the crab is killed live in front of you, and the crab is still alive when it's legs are being boiled.....it's not a sight for the faint of heart. The ozaki beef was delicious, but my advice is maybe to have the beef elsewhere and focus on the crab here. Maybe do the 2 crab combo, and try the King Crab and the Japanese Hare Crab. Or the Crab and Uni Combo. The meal is expensive, about 850USD for 2, but if you think about how much fresh seafood you are getting, it's not a bad deal.
