“Rip off restaurant - hidden charges leave a very bad taste.”
Ate here without a reservation while visiting Tokyo. We did not have a reservation and there was an empty table, no queue to get in. The waiter did not disclose when seating us that this restaurant charges a ‘1000 YEN TABLE FEE’ for 2 people (500 yen each). I have never encountered such a charge in ...many times eating across Japan and can see no reason for this charge in a Japanese context (we are not in Italy). Apparently it is written in small print in the long menu but we did not see it. The staff should tell guests verbally when they enter - it does feel like a dodgy scam, when you find this out only when the bill comes. Also they insist that you buy at least two drinks and two pizzas, or else there is a ‘drink fee’. Again, I have never encountered this anywhere else in Tokyo. The drinks are expensive for Tokyo - around 1000 yen for a small beer, sparkling wine or soft drink. Pizzas are also over-priced at 2400-2900 yen. We had two pizzas, two drinks and one tiramisu and were charged 8500 yen. The food was actually decent - we ate good woodfired Napolitan pizza and a beautiful tiramisu, however the ‘table fee’ scam and the high prices left a bad taste in our mouths. There are several pizza restaurants in the Sangenjaya area just as good or better, where the pricing is fair and transparent. Here, it is not. Advice to the restaurant management - if you are going to charge guests a fee for sitting at a table please be transparent and tell them verbally when they enter, rather than hiding it in small print in a menu. Advice to diners - eat somewhere else where you will be treated with respect and honesty.

“Multicultural!!”
I have a friend at TU who is Italian and she told me she thinks pizza in the US stinks!! She and I went for pizza once and she said she would eat the pizza even though it wasn’t that good to her!! I am like most US dudes because I enjoy my NY pizza a lot!! I was feeling ethnically inclined and decid...ed to try pizza in Tokyo which is actually a very wild thing to do!! The pizza was very Italian and looked and tasted exactly like the pizza I had in Italy back when I was there 5 years and one month ago!! I sent her the picture and she said she was crying tears of joy because it looked like actual pizza!! The pizza was very very good and it had a lunch special that came with salad and coffee!!

“One of the Best Pizzas I've had in Japan”
It's not the easiest place to find but this will well worth the effort. Extremely popular with the locals, Chef and owner Mr Yu creates traditional pizza with heaps of flavour and perfect pizza base. "Simple it great"! so much better than the normal "franchise" effort
