“Fabulous and friendly tempura in the heart of Ginza”
Our trip leather recommended this place for tempura. We were able to get a reservation at the counter, and the 3 of us were delighted and entertained by the chef. He explained in English about each course, and served us shrimp, fish and vegetables freshly made one at a time. We loved this experience... and highly recommend if in the area. Lovely staff

“Best Tempura in Ginza and Perhaps the World”
Best tempura i have ever had. Small place in ginza, downstairs,. We sat at the tempura bar and interacted with the chef as he prepared the food. A friendly experience with just enough English to get through the meal. Highly attentive staff. Other diners appeared to be business people but make no mis...take this place is great for all and price point was reasonable for this level of food preparation and taste.

“Strongly recommend by my Japanese friends”
Best tempura rice I have ever eaten in Japan after having covered 42 out of the 47 Prefectures in Japan in over 10 years. Arrived after 2pm when it was less crowded. A must-try for all Foodies. Fresh, yummy and not greasy. Will go for it again when back in Tokyo.

“Culmination”
This tempura restaurant has been rated as one of the best in Tokyo for so many years and luckily we could return here after a long absence. Nothing has been changed, in a positive way.We had the most popular Momiji course for lunch, mixture of various seasonal seafood and veggies. Each item is resp...ectively and exquisitely fried in front of you. Stop talking and concentrate on eating, as Tempura is at its best when "just cooked". Scallops were so sweet, asparagus so flavourful, your taste bud will be knocked out. If you want to know quintessence of Tempura, you should try this restaurant.

“Only go if you're after world class tempura.....”
The restaurant ‘Tentei’ is located 2 minutes walk from the Ginza downstairs and is fairly easy to find. If you’re luck to get a reservation (they’re not open on Sunday) you are in for wonderful food. Its small, probably no more than 20 seats in total with two chefs showing their years of experienc...e. Its simply a world class tempura restaurant that’s been around for some years and I never get fed-up with their menu. We had one of the set meals which basically included just about everything……some beer and warm saki. It really doesn’t get much better. Can I recommend Tentei……….only if you want a world class tempura experience!
