“Local excellence!”
Delicious set menu course in izakaya style food made with fresh seasonal ingredients. Service was great in this casual atmosphere located in the buzzing Nakameguro area. Good wines.

“Quaint restaurant with great offerings”
We wanted to have an omakase meal at the restaurant but were unaware that u have to inform them before hand when making reservations. Although somewhat disappointed, we went on to have a very good alacarte meal. The restaurant is run by a husband n wife team with 2 others. Service was very friendly ...n dishes were delicious n well executed. We will definitely return the next time we are back in TYO. Reservations are necessary

“Incredible Hidden Gem near Meguro”
This is a little foodie gastropub that was one of my favorite meals in all of japan. Its a short walk from Meguro station through a nice little quiet neighborhood. Use the Japanese address, mapquest and your mobile hotspot to find. Print out a picture of the outside of the place from tabelog - it is... a little hard to find. Its a small place that seats 18 - very cool-minimalistic décor, no English menu. They only accept phone reservations 2 weeks in advance - so get help from your hotel. They do take credit cards which is a plus. We printed out pictures dishes that looked great from tabelog - including some aji dumplngs, stuffed shitake mushrooms, great eggplant dish, etc. They have a very innovative menu - with interesting fusion elements - although still mostly tclassic. For example -they had a great looking salad with prosciutto - even though we skipped it in favor of more traditional flavors. Very reasonable prices - about $200 for 4 including alcohol for 2. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

“Fabulous Japanese Gastropub/ Izakaya”
I loved everything about this place - Its a small stylish place - only seats 18 - so reservations are a must. Have your hotel call for you. They only take reservations a couple of weeks in advance. The food is sublime - definitely a foodie destination Stuffed deep fried Shitake mushroom with shrimp ...House made dumplings Firefly squid Absolutely no English menu - but we did great printing out pictures from tabelog and bringing with us and pointing. The décor is super cool - very minimalistic. Located a couple of blocks from Meguro station - really quiet neighborhood with lots of cool looking bars and restaurants. I think they let us use a credit card.
