Manna

We stumbled in here by accident looking to get a snack during an outing to Shinjuku and were pleased that we did. It is primarily a place for curry and we regretted that we weren't here for a meal, because the curry dishes at the tables all around us looked and smelled amazing. We just had some beer..., snacks, and dessert and found the food quality to be quite good. The service was efficient and friendly. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for curry.

Japan's love affair with curry began with Nakamuraya (Manna is part of the Nakamuraya chain). The Indian curry at Nakamuraya is incredibly tasty, so much so that I have never tried another dish at this restaurant in twenty years of going there. Not to be missed. Somewhat bizarrely, they also have t...he best highballs (whiskey sodas) I've ever had. Go figure.

Close to the East Exit of Shinjuku Station, I wanted to eat some genuine Indian curry so I tried Manna out. It has to be said that this was hands down the best chicken curry I have ever eaten and that is saying something. Plenty of rice and meat for a reasonable price as well. Very good value for mo...ney! The staff are friendly and attentive. I would come back here without hesitation. Recommended if you enjoy Indian curry.

Good curry chicken dishes which was not dry. The noodle wook had little taste. The mango juice was ridicously good! Good service.
