Brasserie Chez Aki

I have been coming to the owner’s restaurant for the entirety of my life. He has known my family for a longer period. Watabe-San, the owner of Aki used to own Kamakura-tei, a renown classical French restaurant that was open for many decades near the Kinokuniya store. He opened this smaller, more acc...essible French restaurant a few years ago. Sadly, the restaurant lost its prestige and is aimed to tailor a broader crowd. I give Aki three stars with a heavy heart given my history with the restaurant. It’s just that the wine selection is not good and they definitely over-charge. That said, they still have amazing foie gras, which I tell my parents to put in my mouth if I am in comma and about to die.
