“Best food I've had so far!!”
Holy!!! This place is amazing! If you don't want to be super social or if you like to order your own food its perfect. The food is so amazing that, I would honestly travel all the way here JUST for the food. I got the ramen with pork in it and the pork just melted in my mouth. I don't watch alot of ...anime but it truly reminded me of those anime scenes I've seen where the food lights up their face. So amazzing!!!

“Authentic Spot”
Stumbled upon this local restaurant and it was a great find – surrounded by locals, no touristy feel at all. The spicy miso soup was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor and perfectly warming. One of the first restaurants when coming back from the shrines, so either a nice rest after or before!

“By Far My Favorite Meal During My Week In Japan”
I spent 1 week in Tokyo and visited this restaurant (about 2 hours north of Tokyo) when I took a tour of Nikko. Lunch at the Asaya Rest House was by far my favorite meal during my entire time in Japan! The food was phenomenal and fairly priced. The servers were super friendly, although none spoke En...glish on the day we went. We still felt and understood that we were very welcome. I had the Katsu Jyu (pork cutlet served with eggs and vegetables over rice with miso soup and Japanese pickles). My husband had a steamy bowl of ramen and a frosty Kiren beer - perfect for our stormy spring day visit. There is some English on the menu, but we ended up using Google translate to really understand what it was we were ordering. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be daydreaming about my lunch here for a long time.

“good taste and nice view”
this shop is just cross the road from the shinkyo bridge. the restaurant is on 2 floor. we went on Dec 2019 so, not many people in restaurant. we ordered a curry rice, remen, and soba in order to test a local food. it is very yummy as local style. the price is reasonable. the service was nice and go...od hospitality from owner. nice to visit here
