Shiawase-no Pankeki Ginza

We found it hard to find this restaurant, but realising it was on the upper floor of a building. Once we got there, we went up to the restaurant and asked if we could eat. We were told to go back down to the street level and make a reservation using a QR code on a sign in the tiny lobby. We booked, ...but then we got the message that there was a 1 hour wait for a table. We went to the 12 storey Uniqlo whilst we waited. But we got a message after 20mins that we would only be 15 mins, then another message straight after that we were next. We rushed back, and saw our booking number on the screen, then waited in the tiny hallway for 5 mins until we were called. Very confusing. It was worth the wait!!!! I had the peach soufflé pancakes and they were perfection! I wish I could have gone back another day. My husband had the savoury pancakes and eggs- not as light as the sweet ones because if the whole meal in them. The banana/chocolate ones were good too. We also got a view of the kitchen whilst we waited which was interesting.

This is a small, casual spot for fluffy souffle pancakes. There is a QR code to scan to secure a reservation when you arrive. Be aware the QR code is on the first floor, but the restaurant is on an upper floor. Look up at the signs on the buildings to help you locate the spot. We went right up af...ter we scanned the QR code and were seated right away. The service is pleasant and fast. The pancakes are super airy and delicious.

Once you know … you know. So let me explain. The Happy Pancakes is on the 7th floor of an office block, the entrance of which is not the easiest to find. However maps will take you right there and then you’ll say ‘where is it?’ There are no signs or wall plates but, just at the doorway you will see ...a notice on a stand. It reads… Do not go to the 7th floor. Scan this QR code and fill in your personal Details and we’ll email you when to Come back Do not stand in the doorway Check your email and follow the instruction and click on the link. You are given a unique number and I was told I was 14th in line and the wait was….. 150 minutes 😳😳 Wow!! I went shopping and kept checking the link and within 30 minutes it was down to 4 waiting and 30 minutes to go. Then I got an email to say… ‘Come on up to the 7th floor’ When the lift door opens, several Others will have had the same email so you are all squashed at the entrance to Happy Pancakes. Your numbers are Displayed on a screen and when yours is called… in you go. Simple ? Food is very nice and pancakes or soufflé are Very light and fluffy. They are cooked before your eyes and are fresh. I had the smoked salmon and avocado menu whilst my partner had the chocolate and banana selection. Both very nice. Inexpensive. Staff friendly and helpful. Is it worth all the hassle, emails and queue’s - only you can decide that.

This place is located on the 7th floor of a building in the Ginza district. You have te scan a QR code to get in line, wait more than 40 minutes to eat a mediocre pancake.

Difficult to find and once you have found it you go up the 7 th floor and they send you back to the street to check the QR code and make a reservation and they will tell you how long it will take for your reservation and to wait in the street until they send you a email. After 20 minutes we got ou...r email and went up, during those 20 minutes there were quite a few people waiting, we had to tell several of them that they were at the right place, because it’s a building with a very small sign. The place is small and cozy, it has and open kitchen were you can see how this fluffy pancakes are made, nothing you have had before, they are thick and soft consistency. We were 6 and each one had a different one, they were all delicious, but not my thing
