Marugame SeimenShapokoiwa

I was in japan during the last month, and had the opportunity to try the Marugame-Seimen udon, at Tachikawa province in Tokyo (not the one in the picture, but couldn't find the right one here in trip advisor) But as a chain restaurant, I believe other units should have similar quality and values. T...he place, as most of the restaurants in Japan, is very clean, and works as a self-service model. First you choose the type of Udon you want (I think there was tens of different options, including some cold ones that was delicious). Then you can include some side options, mostly tempuras of different kinds. You pay and you can add some additional toppings, as parsley and agedama, which is a kind of rest of tempura. All of that paying way less than USD10 And it's all delicious. Just a note, it's not a kind of restaurants that people speaks english. Mostly there's local people there, for fast meal, so it's not recommended for large groups and/or people who can't communicate at all in japanese, in my opinion.
