Seiyoken

This place is a small shop ran by the chef and his mother. They specialize in beef tongue, the whole menu is tongue done every way! This guy is a master of beef tongue, every, and I mean every dish is awesome! Many westerners are scared to eat tongue. I guarantee if they ate there, they would ...be blown away. This place is a real hidden gem in Yokosuka, probably my favorite Japanese restaurant in japan. It's one guy who has a passion for one thing and does one thing to beef tongue perfection! Some nights after work it may get a bit busy and you may have to wait a bit for the next dish but it's well worth the wait. Ice cold beers can bide you time. The menu changes every so often so just go down the list of specials and try everything because it's all good. If you've never eaten tongue before, this is the place that you want to start out at! The wasabi there is also freshly ground, and if you've never had fresh wasabi, you are wrong! After you eat fresh wasabi and expertly cooked tongue, you will be enlightened! I can't say enough about this place, it's the kind of little shops that make japan an awesome place to live!
