“Very Good Ramen and Friendly Staff”
This ramen restaurant was by my hotel so I had to try it. The hostess was super nice and sat us right away. Prior to entering you buy your food using the vending machine and hand over the ticket. The space inside was decent sized and it was clean. Our ramen came out pretty fast. I ordered the ramen ...with extra pork and it was very good and filling. The noodles were pretty soft and the meat was juicy. All the other fixings in the ramen were a nice touch. The broth was more of a soy sauce based, which I liked as well. There are so many ramen shops in Tokyo so I don't have others to compare it to. But I was satisfied.

“Quick Ramen”
Looking for a hearty, tummy filling meal on a cold Shinjuku evening and happened upon Keika Ramen. We are getting used to the kiosk system of ordering, service was quick and the toilet clean.

“Good Ramen Dishes”
Keika is a ramen shop just beside Tokyu Stay, my hotel in Shinjuku. It's a small ramen "bar" in an area littered with many bars, cafes and restaurants all over. Once inside, you're given an English menu if you need one, then you can order and pay for your meal from a vendo machine. I ordered Shoyo R...amen (syoyo) which is soy sauce based. Other types of ramen are available: Shio (salt ramen), Miso, and Tonkatsu. Served on a big bowl, my Shoyo was delicious, and didn't take forever to prepare. Supposedly, Keika is based in Kumamoto in Kyushu where ramen "is king". The joint doesn't have separate tables, but a bar style dining... and turnover is fast.

“Not memorable”
Ducked into this ramen joint because it was raining and my friend and I didn't want to travel too far anymore. The place had a couple of salarymen eating and it was a quiet, somewhat dingy place. The ramen (I forget which particular type I had) was alright, nothing too remarkable.
