“Too Much Head On The Mugs Of Beer, But Good Otherwise”
Beer KOBO Nakano has a nice variety of home brews including IPA, Brown Ale and Black IPA. Today I was able to get one of the last mugs of Triple Hop IPA - limited edition beer. Their beers are very flavorful with a full yeasty taste (which I like). 500 yen per mug sounds like a good price, but I'm n...ot really sure how much actual beer you get because the mugs are smallish (my guess is 350 ml) and the staff fill them only up to the top of the handle and put about 2 inches / 5 centimeters of head (bubbles). Serving beers with such big head may be acceptable for cheap big company draft beer like Asahi Super Dry, at Japanese pubs, but is not acceptable for a craft beer brewpub. Beer KOBO Nakano has pretty good food if you feel hungry. I like their french fries. All in all, I like this place, but not the big head on the beer.
