“Excellent beer”
On a recent trip to Japan, we spent the last couple of nights in the Asakusa district of Tokyo and came across this English pub. As an expat who lives in Brazil, it was nice to taste and enjoy their bitter and IPA - a chance I don't often get. They brew their own beers on the premises and it was ve...ry tasty. The atmosphere in the pub was pleasant. We went 2 nights, the first was quiet but the 2nd was busier as there was live music upstairs. We didn't try the food, but there were some British staples on the menu

“Nice to find a 'Bit o' Brit' in Asakusa!”
The beer-loving hubby found this pub on-line, so we stopped by for an evening pint. Campion Ale is a fairly small place down a narrow dark street that looks like nothing, but is lined with other food and drink establishments. The bar woman was really friendly and spoke some English. She took our or...ders for a 'Porter' and a 'Strong' and we found a seat upstairs where Christmas lights glistened in the window. The dark wood gives the place an authentic touch. At the time we went, we found the atmosphere a bit lacking as it was quite quiet. Note: Non-smoking. If you found this review informational, please click the THANK button. :)

“Great bar - extra seating upstairs!”
Looks tiny, but there is a large area upstairs. Microbrewery pub, 4 of their own beers on keg and a bit of food on offer. Some deals available if you're staying for a couple. Good location and easy to find, ideal for some unique beers.

“That 'Ratatouille' Moment”
Remember in the film 'Ratatouille', when Anton Ego tastes the eponymous dish & is instantly transported back to his youth? That's exactly how I felt when I first tasted Campion's bitter. Absolutely perfect, so good in fact that I didn't try any of their other beers which I now regret. If you're in... Tokyo, and you like English beer, do not miss this place. Nice atmosphere, great beers, and really friendly service. Can't fault it.

“Holy Tanuki b@lls”
Okay, British beer in Japan? They nailed it! We travel regularly to the UK from Canada and I’ve learnt and become an Ale buff. Whilst not a traditional cask ale it’s damn near the next best thing. Bang on! Well done chaps!
