Founded over 260 years ago, this store continuously introduces new tea culture to new generations based on the traditions and wisdom of the past.
Kyohayashiya began in 1753 (Horeki Year 3), when Hayashiya Shinbei opened a tea store in Kaga, Kanazawa.
Blessed with great soil, water, and river fog, the third successor of Hayashiya Shinbei opened a tea garden in Uji, Kyoto in 1878.
They proudly serve tea under the inherited idea that, "We do not only drink tea, we also consume rich nutrients from the tea leaves themselves".
