“Perfectly delicious small local gem of a restaurant”
The food here is incredible without caveats. They call themselves a French restaurant, but it has that delicious whiff of Japanese tastebuds combined with light & modern French cuisine. I came here with a friend who had seen it on a television show and remembered it. We had the 8-course tasting menu... (6600 yen) and 7 of 8 courses were mouthwateringly delicious. The 8th I would rate as very good (dumpling in carrot reduction). Although 8 courses sounds like a lot, each course was very small, just a few mouthwateringly delicious bites. The staff may not speak English, and I don't know if they have an English menu available. It's cleanly decorated and has a counter where you can watch the chef work. Only 15 seats! I was there with a small group, but saw others on dates. It's a cozy restaurant, and they have a blind up between the tables for more privacy. The plating is wonderful and they have very pretty dishes, creating a very Instagram-friendly picture for the food. I'm attaching pictures, but they don't do the food justice (I'm a terrible photog). I recommend reservations in advance. I plan to return and try to catch lunch. It's a quick 10 minute walk from the Ginza line Asakusa station, about 15 minute walk from the Asakusa line station, on the north side of Sensoji.
