I enjoyed a wonderful lunch today at Zillion Italian Dining in the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay. I’d never been before. The food was extraordinary and the service outstanding. We were six people and had a private room so we were comfortable with the social distancing. I was the only non-Japanese gu...est with our group but our server had lived for two years in London and was happy to speak English with me. The course menu included a high-tea style presentation with a selection of hors d’oeuvres. Every item was delicious. We also ordered caviar and foie gras which weren’t part of the lunch set - again excellent. I chose the spaghetti bolognese with beef cheek and pork for my main. It was probably the best bolognese I’ve ever had. The meal ended with dessert that had about a half dozen different items on the plate. I especially liked the small strawberry meringue which was a burst of flavour in my mouth. This was a very special lunch.

Came here for dinner one evening as the New York lounge was full. Really nice menu options. My lamb chops were beautifully cooked and tender. Food was well presented and the service was excellent.

The IC is located on Tokyo Bay and it has a small gem of an Italian Restaurant called Zillion. This places gets everything right - the food, the service and the quality. Service is smooth and efficient and balanced right but the food is outstanding. The Italian menu has some set pieces and a la ca...rte sections. We had the a la carte and this has some local variations but we enjoyed excellent cured meats, then we had the rossini steak with pate - this was excellent perfectly cooked and with stunning sauces. We followed this with an amazing chocolate dessert. Wine was well paired. What made this work was the way in which the service the food and the wine came together - it was excellent. Its not cheap but its worth every yen
