Honestly, the lunch sushi omakase (about $200 for 2 of us, all included) was fantastic. The place is a little hard to spot if you don't speak Japanese, and the address is a little tricky, but someone from the restaurant literally came and found us on the street and brought us in. That's how accommod...ating they were! The place is intimate, a sushi bar for maybe 15 people and a table or two. There were 4-5 sushi chefs , and manager, and a waitress, and they were all incredibly polite and accommodating. Tokyo, so far, overall, has incredibly polite, respectful, and hard working people, and this restaurant demonstrated that on every level. Our course included a crab Chawanmushi to start, and then about 12-18 individual pieces of sushi, everything from toro (and 2-3 other tuna preparations) to sea urchin to shima aji to mackerel to two preparations of shrimp (raw and cooked) to squid to kohada and like 6-7 other selections, then a miso soup, a small bite of cake, a coconut/green tea custard and and a tea to end it off. The food was really good. Subtle in moments, but so well prepared. Their preparation throughout the meal was also fascinating to watch in terms of the precision, delicacy, professionalism, and artistry. You absolutely have a front row seat to it all. I would definitely recommend, especially at lunch prices.

This is a review for the service/accuracy of information rather than the food. Google says they’re open late for lunch until 3:30pm. We arrived at 2:45pm, there were open seats and customers at the counter, chef had fish and knife in hands, looked at us and said “closed”. So, don’t believe the openi...ng hours on the website, go earlier and hope that the chef will let you in.

All of the food was of exceptionally high quality. Although it is omakase style, the chef asked at the beginning if there was anything we could not eat and provided excellent substitutes.

Having enjoyed the NY location of this upscale Sushi restaurant we tried the one in Tokyo. The quality of the fish and presentation were as expected superior. But the energy and enthusiasm of the staff and fun atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. The staff that spoke English even translated for me... what was going on as other patrons laughed and joked with the chefs. I was given a chance to hold and take a photo with the huge tuna sword and interacted at a higher level than usual with the entire sushi chef staff. It was a truly fun and memorable experience AND with great sushi too!
