“Wonderful Ramen”
Came here with my wife on recommendation from the Ramen Beast. It's located one train stop outside of Shibuya. We arrived 30 minutes after opening and there was only 3 people in the restaurant. The machine you order on was completely in Japanese, so we had some trouble. One of the workers came t...o help though. They are known for their wonton ramen, so I would recommend this. It's unlike most ramen you've probably had, but it is very refreshing.

“Delicious Ramen; Elegant Space”
Yakumo ramen is an elegant space, that is immaculate, tidy and obviously well managed. If you don't speak Japanese or read Kanji (as we don't) it is a bit challenging, as the machine which you use to choose your meal and pay is only in Kanji. But, we were fortunate to find a patron who graciously a...ssisted us. There are white buttons and darker (brown?) buttons on the machine at the very top. The white buttons are for the lighter broth, a shiro soup made with white shoyu, and the darker buttons are for a kuro option, made with black shoyu. We pressed the second white button at the top (left) for the white shoyu with three shrimp and three port wontons. We also chose to have an egg (bottom button in the middle I think). The soup came with succulent roasted chashu and the presentation was beautiful. The broth was light, flavourful and the noodles were springy. The wonton were excellent, as the filling was rich and the wrappers were delicate (not gummy or thick). It was a fantastic meal.

“Testy Ramen!”
支那そば 八雲 is the Japanese name of Yakumo ramen. This ramen is very testy and does not like any common Japanese ramen. I think it is quite combined between Taiwan, Thai and Japanese ramen. I ordered clear soup ramen with shrimp and pork meat balls (Wantan soup) and slides of red pork (1,000 Yen) the se...cond button from the left . The slides of red pork are similar to Thai, Taiwan Singapore red pork. The soup test like salt base Japanese ramen. Noddle is very soft and good test. I totally recommend this ramen. It is worth to try!!

“Best ramen I have eaten”
My friend, a local, suggested we try this. We waited outside the shop. You decide which type of ramen (light or dark) and when you are admitted, select each item at the vending machine (1000 Y or ~$9.50USD, yes really!), then wait your turn on the bench. While you wait for one of 14 seats, one of th...e cooks takes your tickets to make your soup. Once you are seated, a large bowl is placed before you. The dumplings were very delicate and so tasty. The broth was rich. The noodles, bamboo shoots and pork were excellent. It was quite filling. If I lived nearby, I'd be there every day. Simple, excellent, well done and the best I have ever eaten.
