Edomae Hattori

This is a great place to experience all kinds of Sushi. Not like most common Sushi restaurants which serves only rolls and nigiri, this place provide a course menu of Sushi. Presentation from various Sushi and sides (hashi yasume, means chopsticks rest) to finish, I do say a great place to experie...nce traditional Sushi. However, not recommended for family with children or for big eater teen agers.

This restaurant is excellent on all 3 dimensions: 1. Excellent food & drinks: Omakase was hands-down one of the best I had. By far exceeding expectations 2. Service: Very attentive chefs and staff; go out of their way to explain in English the dishes (also with a handy visual book); the bartender ev...en went out on the street to get me a taxi and made sure the taxi driver knew where I need to go 3. Setting: Clean and neat setting, with about 12 places at the counter and separate tables; a bar stand with various options next to the counter as well It was an excellent experience. I was surprised not to see it among the top restaurants in Tokyo (took a chance following the recommendation of a local). On one hand, I would like to keep it as my hidden gem for next time I am back in Tokyo, but on the other hand -- I would like it to do well so want to highly recommend it to others!

Came here on the recommendation of a friend who happens to be one of the best Japanese chefs in Las Vegas. Food was amazing using only the freshest of ingredients prepared beautifully to enhance the natural flavors. Chef Hattori is a master at his craft and an extraordinarily gracious host. Service ...was impeccable and the setting is serene and elegant. Would highly recommend for anyone who loves truly authentic quality Japanese cuisine!
