Tasuke

There are many unagi (eel) restaurants in China, mainly located in the north of the prefectures along lakes, including Katori Cuty, AbikoCity and Narita City. That's a bit away from where I live, so in March 2023, I went to try this restaurant in Yachiyo City, facing national road 296. We had learne...d that we could park in the car park of the Japanese restaurant next to Tasuke. There was a sign for Tasuke customers to park in the garage at the end of the car park. The restaurant was more spacious than it appeared with about 20 seats. We were shown to our table close to the entrance. There appeared to be a couple of group customers, not that busy as it was past 1pm on a weekday. We ordered their regular unajuu, broiled eel on a sweet bed of steamed rice. The eel was cooked Kanto style, crisp on the outside, fluffy and not that sweet. The accompanying kimo (eel liver) soup was also quite good. All in all the food was well balanced. The price for the unajuu was 3,880 yen, which was reasonable. The interior of the restaurant was clean, with a quiet atmosphere.
