Hills Dal Matto is in the building where I work, but I'd never really written about it - not anymore. Decided to have an early lunch cum meeting. While waiting, was gazing hungrily at the "Juicy Burger - A5 Yamagata Beef with Truffles Flavor". And boy, was my hankering answered - in spades! The b...urger was perfectly grilled, juicy and succulent. The truffle perfectly complimented the tomato & onion slices. Good thing the burger pocket (paper napkin) was strong - it was juicy and messy decadent to eat. Hills Dal Matto is an Italian restaurant, and is looks really good for dinner as well. But do make reservations. Go out of your way to have some "Juicy Burger" - Highly Recommended!

You tell your friends you are taking them to a really nice place. A cheap eats version of a very high-grade and wonderful Italian in Nishi Azabu. You turn up. The restaurant is half empty but the "guard" on the door makes it clear you have to be in and out in 90 minutes maximum. Er... OK. So we t...ake our seats and each person (4) examine the menu options. Two people want to go a la carte. Two people want to order the chef's special lunch. We announce our order and the "guard" informs us we all have to order the same menu. Embarrassing discussion follows. I want to leave immediately and go to a proper restaurant. My friends calm me down and insist that we stay. So two people switched their intended order from a la carte to the chef's special lunch. I will not credit Hills Dal Matto with any comment on the food. They do not deserve the effort of me hitting these keys. Disgusted. And our friends paid for the lunch which added to my embarrassment. Go figure? No. Go elsewhere. Bullies. Pure bullies.

Service was nice. The price is very reasonable, maybe too reasonable! For starter my friend ordered fish carpaccio, raw fish nothing can go wrong. I had Garlic shrimps with mushrooms. The sauce was ok, mushrooms are mushrooms but the shrimps tasted like chewing gum, not happy with my meal. For the m...ain course my friend ordered beef and I ordered pork. Both meats were good and tasty but the vegetable, although plenty were only half cooked, hard inside and not tasty at all. Wine selection no complains. There was a foreign chef working in the kitchen so I assumed it would be good. Anyway, really disappointed with this place. I for sure will not go back.

Nice surprised that they are doing the same taste for the pasta like is doing ones of my Italian friends chefs.. Hope to comeback soon!!
